The Darjeeling also famous as Queen of hills in West Bengal is spread over 3149 sq km area. Darjeeling, which stands at an altitude of about 7,000 feet above sea level, is also called the queen of the mountain.
The history of this city is as fascinating as it is. Initially, Darjeeling was part of Sikkim then Bhutan captured it, later it was again ruled by Sikkim.
